The 3-Minute Heart Health app, henceforth referred to as “app,” is a research and public health effort that aims to assess a user’s cardiovascular fitness and heart rate recovery using a simple, guided 3-minute heart health protocol. By using the app and agreeing to this privacy policy, you are also agreeing to take part in this research effort.
Your privacy is important to us. Your personal information and test results from the app will be collected for research purposes only. It will in no way ever be used to identify or locate you. This data will be used by researchers in the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Our data gathering and dissemination are governed by state and federal laws, including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13. Personally identifiable information is not released to external parties without your consent unless required by law.
You are allowed to use this app for free to assess your cardiovascular fitness and heart rate recovery.
Although the app attempts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of your cardiovascular fitness, it makes no guarantee as to the correctness or accuracy of the information. The app may be changed or updated without notice. Additionally, the app shall have no responsibility or liability for information or content found on the app. This app is not a treatment for heart disease. Consult your doctor for medical advice or treatment.
The University of Minnesota does not warrant that access to or use of the app will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects in the app will be corrected. The app, including any content or information contained within it is provided “as is,” with all faults, with no representations or warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of quality of information. You assume total responsibility and risk for your use of the app.
To discontinue your use of the app, you can remove it from your device at any time.
The University of Minnesota reserves the right, in its sole discretion, at any time, to modify, alter, or update the terms and conditions of this agreement with or without notice. Modifications shall become effective immediately upon being posted. Your continued use of the app constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of the modifications.
